    “Vulnerable children include those who have a social worker and those children and young people up to the age of 25 with education, health and care (EHC) plans.”

    Due to partial closures, coordination between authorities, trusts, schools, and families will result in appropriate arrangements; children may not always be able to attend their usual school in order to ensure their safety.

    The government will work with schools, colleges and local authorities to identify and support those who need help during this difficult time.

    Local authorities will continue to be responsible for the delivery of social care and so attendance-keeping is still necessary for safeguarding purposes.
